CONSENT AGENDA

 
1.

Consider request from the Sheriff's Office to approve a Georgia Gang Activity Prosecution (GAP) Grant award in the amount of $60,000.

 
2.

Consider request to approve an easement agreement with Georgia Power for Sims Mountain Trail.

 
3.

Consider request from Solid Waste to approve submitting the Georgia EPD's Recycling and Waste Diversion Grant in the amount of $60,000  and will require a match of $40,000 from Recycling Center Capital for a total of $100,000. If awarded, this will be invested in the purchase and installation of an Allegheny shredder capable of shredding hardback books and plastic bottles.

 
4.

Consider request from Human Resources to approve the 2024 Workers’ Compensation Renewal and Dividend Distribution with ACCG programs. The coverage period is from January 1, 2024 to January 1, 2025.

 
5.

Consider request from Purchasing to approve awarding the Janitorial and Paper Product Supplies service agreement to Camp Industries, Inc and Roman Chemical. These vendors have been our providers for these services for the past 3 years and their customer service and products have been commendable. This contract would begin on January 1, 2024.

 
6.

Consider request from Purchasing for approval to deem certain equipment as surplus items to be listed on GovDeals. The equipment has been examined by the Public Works Shop Manager and is considered unsalvageable for Floyd County use.

 
7.

Consider request from Airport to approve a lease with Tiger Flight Foundation, Inc.

 
8.

Consider request from Public Works to approve FY 2024 Local Maintenance Improvement Grant (LMIG) paving list for various streets in Floyd County with Georgia DOT in the amount of $1,337,216. The list includes both paving and milling where applicable and requires a 30% match for Floyd County.

 
9.

Consider request from Airport to approve Task Order No. 11 from CMT for On-Airport Obstruction Mitigation - Runway 1 & 19 Approaches in the amount of $70,808.00.

 
10.

Consider request from Airport to approve Task Order No. 12 from CMT for the design of obstruction mitigation on Runway 7 approach in the amount of $134,615.00.

1.

Consider request from Purchasing to approve Daikin Applied as the vendor of choice for Chiller Service and Maintenance Agreement for the Forum Center and Floyd County Judicial Building. This is a 3 year service agreement that will be split with the City of Rome in the amount of $76,780.  The County's portion of this will be $38,390. This vendor submitted a proposal that met all specifications and is most qualified although not the lowest bid received. This contract will go into effect January 1, 2024 and will need to be added to the 2024 budget.

 
2.

Consider request from Purchasing to award a contract for Inmate Supplies and Clothing to Hard Time Products, LLC. This vendor submitted a proposal that met our specifications and offers most items requested.

 
3.

Consider request from Purchasing to approve the purchase of upfitting features for (3) Three Floyd County Police vehicles from Coosa Valley Communications, Inc in the amount of $25,100.00 using 2017 SPLOST funds from GL Account #319639 - 66127 – 60025. This vendor submitted a quote that met the specifications and is the vendor who traditionally completes our upfitting since they are local and most familiar with our needs.

 
4.

Consider request from Purchasing to approve the use of Professional Services from Sizemore Group to create a "Test Fit" Space Needs layout for the Floyd County Law Enforcement Building using Capital Projects funds from GL Account # 330455 - 67045 – 33002 not to exceed $49,380.00.

 
5.

Consider request from Purchasing to approve the use of Professional Services from BaAM for providing the design of temporary locker rooms for the AdventHealth Stadium renovation project in the amount of $22,800.00 using funds from GL Account #319639-66130-60066.

 
6.

Consider request to approve an intergovernmental agreement for water distribution with the City of Calhoun.

 
7.

Consider request to approve Atlantic Coast Consulting Task Orders 2023-03 to 2023-06 for consulting services at the Walker Mountain Landfill.

 
8.

Consider request from Purchasing to approve an AIA contract with Studio 8 Design for the Ag Center.

 
9.
